From the 1st of September 2006 On according to the act (1995. CXVII. Law 65.§ act 2 )on personal income tax every Hungarian resident is obliged to pay interest tax on the yield of the investment bonds bought in or outside Hungary. The measure of the interest tax is 20% and the trader or the ban is obliged to pay this sum. Thus, the yield or interest received by the investor is already decreased by the sum of the interest tax.
